Beautiful routes and a rappel from the top
Overlooking St. Catherine village, this Mountain features a prominent Corner on its northeastern end, steep and well protected crack systems and it has a bolted rappel
Getting there
To get to the bottom of the NW Corner it is easiest to take a rather straight line up from the Rasees Area, still before entering Wadi Arbain. To get to the East Face it is necessary to cross the Wadi Arbain Checkpoint and then approach the foot of the wall after a few hundred meters up on the left
Descent
From the NW corner it is possible to rappel over the face. At the Top of the "Big Eyes" route and a little to the right you should find the bolts installed by Marco. If you don't find them, there is a few other rappelling options but no walk-off described without rappelling. From the Gruffalo/Penthouse sector: [Mikhail Khomenyuk] Walk towards the village of St. Catherine (to the north) along a wide ridge. Walking along the ridge is everywhere on foot in places with small simple slips down. It is necessary to keep to the ridge, the first part of the way to keep to the right side. Having reached a small top in the ridge, go to the left side. Landmark - standing on the ridge to the left on the way down, you will see a large descending couloir, leaving from the lintel in the Wadi Arbain gorge. Go around the intermediate summit on the terraces and go to the beginning of the couloir. Then walk down the couloir (while moving carefully with loose stones, do not take off your helmets). In the lower part of the couloir before the failure there is a loop, from it a rappel is 25 m (a loop with a rapid hangs). Then walk along the talus to the main path of the gorge. From the top to the trail 1-1.5 hours
