Crab and Fly Agaric

140 meters, VI+. First ascent on May 4, 2025, by Mikhail Vorontsov and Mikhail Khomenyuk. The route is located in Wadi Gnai, Camel Canyon, Cold Desert Wall, 30 meters to the right of the Cheeky Git route. The line is clearly visible from the road. The starting point is a shallow grotto at the base of the wall. P1. 25 meters, grade IV+. Start to the right of the grotto on easy but heavily eroded rocks. Above the grotto, the rocks become firmer, but the climbing becomes more challenging. The anchor is on a ledge before the start of the flakes that curve to the right. It might be better to start to the left of the grotto, rather than to the right, where the rocks are firmer. P2. 25 meters, V. Up two steps of rock flakes to the right. The belay station is on a ledge on a sloping ledge extending to the right, three meters from the main ascent line, to ensure the safety of the belayer from possible falling rocks. P3. 30 meters, VI+. Up a pronounced crack system. The crux is at the top of the first half of the pitch. The second half is easier. The anchor is on a large, convenient ledge at the base of the inside corner. P4. 30 meters, V+. Up the inside corner, pleasant climbing, reliable protection. At the top, turn right onto a flat area. The anchor is on a convenient ledge at the base of the inside corner. P5. 30 meters, V, II. Up the inner corner 5 meters V, then along sloping slabs to the ruined cliffs near the summit. The station is on a ledge. From here to the summit is about 50 meters over simple, heavily ruined cliffs. Overall impression: A beautiful but rock-hazardous route. Before attempting it, it's recommended to ascend to the summit via the rappel couloir and rappel down, clearing the line of loose rock.
